1. OUR VISION AND MISSION
A. Vision
- To produce globally acceptable
competent technical manpower.
B. Mission
- To provide quality technical manpower to suit the changing needs of
the industry/service sector through total quality participation at all levels.
- To help school dropouts and people from socially
& economically weaker sections of society to set up their own enterprises
by providing non-formal short-term vocational training.
- To govern the standard of technical education provided by
self-financing Institutions.
- To plan for appropriate
expansion of technical education in the context of globalization.

- To contribute to the planned growth of Delhi’s economy through above
activities.

OUR CLIENTS
- Students seeking admission for formal training in the technical
educational institutions from the lowest level (certificate level) to the
highest level (doctoral and post doctoral level).

dropouts and wards of socially and economically weaker sections/women willing to
pursue skill development through non-formal training under short-term
programmes.

PROVIDING TECHNICAL EDUCATION
4. LAUNCH OF B. VOC. PROGRAMMES IN 9 GOVT. INSTITUTES
OF TECHNOLOGY UNDER THE AEGIS OF DIRECTORATE OF
TRAINING & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc.) programmes, affiliated to
GGSIPU has been launched in 9 Govt. Institute of Technology
under the aegis of Directorate of Training & Technical
Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi from the academic year
2015-16. B. Voc. is a new skill based under graduate level
degree programme. This Programme is being launched as a
Pilot Project in the following highly demanding sectors:
1. Automobile Engineering
2. Refrigeration & Air- Conditioning
3. Power Distribution Management
4. Printing Technology
5. Software Development
6. Mobile Communications
7. Applied Arts
8. Interior Design
9. Construction Technology
Total 905 seats have been created in B. Voc. Courses for
the students of Delhi to get an opportunity to take
admission in skill based education programme under a
University system.
5. CONTINUING EDUCATION
For employed persons, provision of part time evening
classes exists at Delhi Technological University (formerly
Delhi College of Engineering) for Degree Engineering
Courses and in three Government Polytechnics for Diploma
engineering courses. Diploma holders can get admission in
the second year of Degree level Engineering programmes at
I. P. University affiliated colleges through Lateral Entry.
6.
NON-FORMAL TRAINING: -
There is special coaching cum guidance course available for
SC/ST candidates in the trade of stenography (English)
available at ITI Nand Nagri.
7. INFORMATION DELIVERY SYSTEM
A. Under Right to information Act 2005

Administrative Officer(Acad), is the State Public
Information Officer at the DTTE (Head Quarters).

State Public Information Officers and Assistant State
Public Information Officers at each Institute are
different.
- Joint Director(TTE) is the First Appellate Authority at
the Department of Training & Technical Education.
8. STATE/CENTRALLY SPONSORED SCHEMES BEING RUN IN
VARIOUS POLYTECHNICS/I UNDER THIS DEPARTMENT
1.
Technical Education Community Outreach Scheme
(TECOS)
under financial assistance of GNCTD is successfully running
under the aegis of department with an aim to upgrade the
livelihood skills of the under privileged sector i.e.
school dropouts etc. This scheme has been framed to bring
these target people into mainstream of technical education
services. The main objective of the scheme is to provide
meaningful and qualitative training in consultation with
technically qualified faculty/ staff of ITI.
2.
Scheme of Community Development through Institutes
of Technologies (polytechnics)
under the financial assistance of MHRD. The objectives of
CDTP scheme is to provide meaningful and qualitative
non-formal training to rural youth, women, school dropouts,
SC/ST and other weaker group of society, in consultation
with qualified faculty/ staff of the Institute of
Technologies (Polytechnics). The training is made under the
supervision of Principal of the Institute of Technologies
(Polytechnics).
9. GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL MECHANISM
Director (TTE) is the Competent Authority to look into
the grievances with regard to the services provided.
