Compensation Package For Vasectomy In Delhi
RCH Programmes

  1. RCH is implementing Janani Suraksha Yojana in Delhi.  Under the Scheme a incentive of Rs. 600/- / Rs. 700/- by cheque is given to pregnant women to promote institutional delivery in case she is a resident of Urban / Rural area.  Woman should be above 19 yrs. of age and should belong to SC / ST / BPL category.  The benefit is available for first two live births.  Total no. of beneficiaries in Financial Year (April’09 to March.’10) is 21564. Total no. of beneficiaries in this Financial Year (April’10 to December.’10) is 14657

  2. RCH provides free transportation services to pregnant woman in case of pregnancy related emergencies including delivery.  DFW has tied up with CATS Ambulance for this purpose.  If the pregnant woman or any of her family member dial 102 then CATS ambulance reaches to her residence and transport her to nearest Govt. hospital where facilities for delivery or pregnancy related complications can be handled.  This service is available round the clock irrespective of BPL / APL / SC / ST category. Total women transported  (April’09  to March’ 10) is 1744. In this  F.Y (April’10 to Dec.’10) total number of women transported is 1139.

  3. RCH organizes RCH Camps in slums, JJ clusters, re-settlement colonies and unauthorized colonies.  In these RCH camps ante-natal check up of pregnant woman, immunization services to children, family planning services to eligible couples are provided free of cost. 1500 – 2000 beneficiaries attend each camp and avail the services.  Total no. of RCH camps held (April’09  to March’ 10) is 52.From April’10 toDecember’10 total no. of RCH Camps held are 21.

  4. RCH organizes Village Health & Nutrition Days in Anganwaris with the help of ANMs, Anganwadi worker & ASHA worker.  In these ante-natal check up, immunization services, family planning services, nutritional advise, JSY scheme benefits are provided to the community.  Total No. of VHNDs held (April’09 to March’ 10) is 2414. From April’10 to December’10 total no. of VHNDs  held are 1836.

  5. RCH provides Male Family Planning Services (Vasectomy) through various hospitals of Delhi Govt, MCD, NDMC, CGHS, ESI, NGOs.  A cash incentive of Rs.  1100/- per case given to the beneficiary.  Total no. of NSV (April’09  to March’ 10) is 4323. Total no. of beneficiaries in this Financial Year (April’10 to November’10) is 1930

  6. RCH provides Female Family Planning Services (Tubectomy) through various hospitals of Delhi Govt. , MCD, NDMC, CGHS, ESI, NGOs.   A cash incentive of Rs.  600/- per case given to the beneficiary in case of BPL / SC / ST Category and for General Category the incentive money is Rs. 250/- per case. Total no. of Tubectomy (April’09 to March’ 10) is 17102. Total no. of beneficiaries in this Financial Year (April’10 to November’10) is 8939.

  7. Following activities are also carried out by the RCH branch:
    1. Empanelment of doctors for sterilization operation.  715 doctors are empanelled till date.
    2. Accreditation of hospitals and private institution are carried out for sterilization operation.
  8. Quality Assurance Committee :- RCH has constituted 9 District level Quality Assurance Committees one for each district to see the quality of family planning services in various hospitals.  If there is any failure of sterilization operation committee members examine the full case and recommend compensation to the client through ICICI Lombard Insurance Company.

  9. Procurement of Maternal Health, Child Health, Drugs are carried out by RCH like Iron & Folic Acid Tab., ORS, Vit. A etc. and given to various Delhi Govt. Dispensaries and MCD Health Centres for free distribution to general public. The activity managed in coordination with CMO (Medical Store) Procurement and Maintenance of Laparocator are also carried out with help from CMO Medical Store.

  10. Mother NGO : RCH releases fund to the Mother NGOs.  There are 6 Mother NGOs for 8 districts and their Field NGOs (3 - 4 FNGO’s per MNGO) in unserved / under served areas identified and allotted to them by District Health Authority. There is one State Coordinator to look after their work.
