The Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory is pleased to order vide  F54(38B)/ Bifurcation/ Plg./ DSW/ 2006 dated 28/10/2007 reorganization of the department of social welfare of this government and directs the with effect from the 14th November 2007 the said department shall be bifurcated into following two departments, namely:-

 1. Department of Social Welfare.  (GNCTD)

 2.  Department of Women & Child Development. (GNCTD)
